The village of Sturminster Marshall on the banks of the River Stour is the ideal base for a rural holiday yet within easy driving distance of some of England঩nest beaches. The village boasts three popular pubs, a restaurant, golf course, post office and parish church. At the end of the village on the banks of the river stands White Mill a former mill now owned by the National Trust and open in the summer months at weekends. To get to the mill you have to cross the medieval arched White Mill Bridge, the oldest bridge in Dorset.
